How do car brakes work?

The brakes are designed in a car because a vehicle has to make a frequent stop because of red lights, pedestrians and traffic. There is two types of brakes that help you stop and keep you safe a disc brake and drum brakes, both use frictions and resistance to convert kinetic energy into heat so, in other words, they rub against the disk or drum slowing it down. The stopping friction is created by the hydraulic system which works by moving fluids through the brake lines to create pressure which presses the brake pads against the rotor and stops the car. All cars have four brakes two in the front and two in the rear. In most cars, front brakes are primarily a response to about 60 to 90% stopping power.
