Hybrid cars have risen in sales in the past few years due to them being a low maintenance vehicle that incredibly increases your MPG. The price of gas is the major reason for the rise of the hybrid engines which increases the gas mileage saving you hundred of dollars. Hybrid systems work by using a combination of internal combustions engines and batty to drive and increase fuel economy while reducing emission. When leaving from a stop the electric motor powers the car and driving vehicle up to 15 MPG only uses an electric motor this is why the gas mileage increases in the city.
